Overview

Thomas Edison Charter Academy’s Board of Directors is composed of parents and community members, and plays a vital role in the governance of TECA. Board Meetings are generally held the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m., and open to all of TECA’s families and community members. The meeting agenda is posted 72 hours prior to the meeting with the room number and details.

TECA’s collaborative policies, programs and instructional framework have helped our community to bring a vision of educational excellence to life.  The Board is committed to include students, parents, teachers and our community in our decision making process.

Under the requirements of the State Board of Education, TECA’s Board is responsible for ensuring that the school:

  • Implements the provisions of its Charter as approved;
  • Obeys all requirements of federal, state, and local law that apply to the school;
  • Operates prudently in all respects; and
  • Provides a sound education for all of its students.
